    Hyundai CRETA N Line Review: Sporty SUV with Turbo Petrol Performance

    The Hyundai CRETA N Line is a sportier version of the CRETA, designed for buyers who want stronger performance, bold styling and premium features in an SUV body style. Based on the official Hyundai CRETA N Line brochure, the SUV carries the theme “Live unleashed.” It focuses on turbo performance, N Line design elements, advanced safety and a technology-rich cabin.

    The CRETA N Line comes with a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine, 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmission options, sporty exterior details, black cabin theme with red inserts, Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS in the higher variant and several comfort features for daily as well as highway driving.

    Engine and Performance

    The main highlight of the Hyundai CRETA N Line is its 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine. The official brochure lists its maximum power as 117.5 kW, equal to 160 PS, at 5500 r/min. Maximum torque is 253 Nm between 1500 and 3500 r/min.

    Hyundai also mentions 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.9 seconds for the CRETA N Line. This makes it a performance-focused SUV for buyers who want stronger acceleration and a more engaging driving experience.

    The N10 variant adds more premium equipment such as voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, front row ventilated seats, electric 8-way driver seat adjustment, rear seat headrest cushion and a 26.03 cm HD audio video navigation system.

    Technology and Infotainment

    Hyundai CRETA N Line offers a good technology package. The N8 variant gets a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system and digital cluster with colour TFT MID. The N10 variant gets a 26.03 cm HD audio video navigation system and 26.03 cm multi-display digital cluster.

    The SUV supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, front and rear speakers, front tweeters and JioSaavn music streaming in the N10 variant.

    The N10 variant also offers Hyundai Bluelink connected car technology, over-the-air updates for map and infotainment, and Home-to-Car with Alexa.

    Safety Features

    Safety is a strong area of the Hyundai CRETA N Line. The brochure lists 6 airbags as standard, including driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags. It also includes ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-start Assist Control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System highline.

    Other safety features include front and rear disc brakes with red calipers, 3-point seat belts for all seats, seatbelt reminder for all seats, ISOFIX, Emergency Stop Signal, impact sensing auto door unlock, speed sensing auto door lock, immobilizer and burglar alarm.

    The N10 variant gets additional safety and parking support such as front parking sensors, Surround View Monitor, Blind-spot View Monitor and electro chromic mirror with telematics switches.

    Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS

    The Hyundai CRETA N Line N10 variant offers Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS. It includes features such as Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist for car, pedestrian, cycle and junction turning.

    Other ADAS features include Blind-spot Collision Warning, Blind-spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Safe Exit Warning, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.
