    Maruti Suzuki Dzire Detailed

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of India’s most popular compact sedans, known for its comfort, fuel efficiency, practical cabin and family-friendly nature. Based on the official Maruti Suzuki Arena Dzire brochure, the latest Dzire is designed to offer a premium sedan experience with modern technology, improved safety, stylish design and efficient petrol as well as CNG powertrain options.

The brochure introduces the Dzire as “The Best and Beyond”, which clearly shows the car’s focus on comfort, convenience and a more premium feel. With features like electric sunroof, 360 HD view camera, SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless charger, 6 airbags, ESP, Hill Hold Assist and Suzuki Connect, the Dzire becomes a strong choice for buyers who want a stylish sedan with practical daily usability.

    Exterior Design and Styling

The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets a more premium and sophisticated exterior design. The front profile comes with a striking wide front fascia, which gives the car a bold road presence. The chrome finish on the front grille adds a premium touch, while the LED Crystal Vision headlamps and sleek line LED DRLs make the car look modern.

The Dzire also gets a stylish rear design with 3D Trinity LED rear lamp signature. The shark fin antenna and aero boot lip spoiler add a sporty character to the sedan. Higher variants get R15 alloy wheels, with the top variant offering precision-cut alloy wheels. These elements help the Dzire look more upmarket than a regular compact sedan.

According to the brochure, the Dzire has a length of 3995 mm, width of 1735 mm and height of 1525 mm. The wheelbase is 2450 mm, minimum turning radius is 4.8 metres and ground clearance is 163 mm. These dimensions make it compact enough for city driving while still offering the comfort and boot space expected from a sedan.

    Interior and Cabin Comfort

The cabin of the Dzire is designed with a dual-tone sophisticated interior theme in black and beige. This gives the cabin a more premium and airy feel. The brochure highlights “Space That Speaks Success”, which matches the Dzire’s focus on comfort and practical family usage.

Higher variants get features like front footwell illumination, leather-wrapped steering wheel with urbane satin accent, urbane satin accents on console and door trims, chrome finish on AC vents and chrome finish on inside door handles. These details improve the overall cabin experience.

The Dzire offers seating for 5 people. It also gets rear AC vents, rear seat centre armrest with cup holder, adjustable rear seat headrests and rear reading lamps in selected variants. These features make the car more comfortable for rear passengers, which is important in a sedan.

    Boot Space and Practicality

The petrol version of the Dzire offers 382 litres of boot space. This makes it useful for family luggage, office bags, airport runs and weekend trips. Since the Dzire is a compact sedan, the large boot is one of its biggest advantages over hatchbacks.

Practical features like electromagnetic trunk opening, key-fob operated trunk opening, luggage room lamp, bottle holders on all doors, front accessory socket, front USB Type-A port and rear fast charging USB Type-A and Type-C ports with phone pocket add more convenience for daily use.

    Infotainment and Technology

The Dzire offers a strong infotainment package. The top variant gets SmartPlay Pro+ with a 22.86 cm touchscreen. Selected variants get SmartPlay Pro with a 17.78 cm touchscreen. The system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in available variants.

Other infotainment features include steering-mounted audio and calling controls, remote control app for infotainment, over-the-air updates using smartphone, onboard voice assistant with “Hi Suzuki” wake-up feature, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters in selected variants.

The top variant also gets Surround Sense powered by Arkamys, which improves the audio experience. For buyers who want a modern and connected cabin, the Dzire offers a very useful technology package.

    Comfort and Premium Features

One of the biggest highlights of the new Dzire is the electric sunroof available in the top variant. This feature gives the car a more premium appeal and makes the cabin feel more special. The top variant also gets cruise control, rear reading lamps and automatic climate control.

Wireless charger is available in selected variants, while engine push start-stop button with smart key, auto headlamps with Follow Me Home and Lead Me to Vehicle function, electrically adjustable ORVMs and electrically foldable ORVMs are also offered depending on the variant.

The Dzire also gets height adjustable driver seat, power and tilt steering, driver side footrest, auto up-down driver power window with pinch guard, power windows for front and rear, central locking and remote keyless entry system. These features make daily driving easier and more comfortable.

    Engine and Performance

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by the Z12E engine. The petrol version has a 1197 cc engine with Idle Start Stop technology. It produces 60 kW or 81.58 PS at 5700 rpm and 111.7 Nm of torque at 4300 rpm. This engine is tuned for a balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

The CNG version also uses the Z12E engine but runs as a petrol + CNG bi-fuel setup. In CNG mode, it produces 51.3 kW or 69.75 PS at 5700 rpm and 101.8 Nm of torque at 2900 rpm. This makes it suitable for buyers who want lower running costs without losing the practicality of a sedan.

The petrol version is available with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT transmission options. The CNG version comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The AMT variant is a good option for buyers who drive regularly in traffic and want an easier clutch-free experience.

    Mileage and Fuel Efficiency

Fuel efficiency is one of the strongest points of the Dzire. As per the brochure, the petrol manual version delivers 24.79 km/l, while the AMT version delivers 25.71 km/l. The CNG version delivers 33.73 km/kg.

The brochure also highlights the Dzire as India’s most fuel-efficient sedan for the manual petrol category based on the mentioned certification claim. The petrol fuel tank capacity is 37 litres, while the CNG version gets 37 litres petrol tank capacity and 55 litres water equivalent CNG capacity.

    Safety Features

Safety is a major highlight of the Dzire. The car gets 6 airbags as standard across all variants, including front, side and curtain airbags. It also gets Suzuki HEARTECT body, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program and Hill Hold Assist.

Other important safety features include reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, front seat belt with pre-tensioner and force limiter, 3-point seat belts for all seats, high-speed warning alert, engine immobilizer, rear defogger and speed-sensitive auto door locking.

Higher variants add more advanced features like reverse parking camera, 360 HD view camera, anti-theft security system with shock sensor and tyre pressure monitoring system. The 360 HD view camera is especially useful while parking in tight spaces.
